Thelma Teresa Alvey, 75, of Terra Alta passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Pine Ridge..

She was born September 16 , 1944, in Leonardtown, MD, a daughter of the late Howard L Herbert, Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Morgan Herbert.

She was homemaker.

She is survived by her four sons. Howard Alvey of Oakland, MD, Carroll Leon Alvey, Sr. of Lexington Park, MD, Mark Andrew Alvey, Sr. of Morgantown and Thomas Franklin Hill, Jr. of Jessup MD; a daughter, Theresa Stroud of Avenue, MD; five brothers, Thomas, Jim, Dale, Louis and Ernest; eight sisters, Margaret, Joyce, Dorothy, Judy, Emma, Mary, Bessie and Martha; thirty seven grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Eddie Alvey, Jr. and two brothers, Joe and Howard.

Browning Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation service.
