Luther Benjimen Long, 74, of Tunnelton died on Monday, June 8, 2020 at his home with his loving wife by his side. Luther was married to Victoria Sue (Knotts) Long for 54 years.
He was born January 26, 1946, in Dry Fork, WV, to Lenza and Florina Long. He retired from the Preston County Schools, where he worked in the maintenance department as a carpenter, locksmith for 28, years.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Luther was an active member of the Red Oak Gospel Temple. He enjoyed going camping, riding his ATV, working in his garage and working on his farm.
He is survived by wife and four children, Joseph B. Long and wife, Angela; Janice L. Maxwell and husband, Gregory; Victoria A. Johnson and husband William; and Charles L. Long and wife, Dawn all of Tunnelton; seventeen grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three brothers, Troy Long of Dry Fork; Lowell Long of Dundalk MD and Marvin Long of Tunnelton; two sisters, Virginia (Sis) Wiley of Grantsville, MD and Anna Allman of Elkview, WV.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by, a brother, Chester and a granddaughter, Sophia Long.
