Freda Leishman Obituary

Freda Lee Leishman 87 of Kingwood passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at Pine Ridge (Stonerise) in Kingwood.

She was born March 10, 1933, in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Neva Vannoy Vanhorn.

Freda worked at Preston Memorial Hospital in the cafeteria and with Hospice Care Corporation.  She was a Preston County Literacy volunteer for many years.  She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed watching the WVU Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins and Nascar.  She enjoyed traveling and visiting her family.

Freda is survived by her sons, Scott (Janet) Leishman, Andy (Lisa) Leishman and Eddie (Andrea) Leishman; her daughters, Margaret Barr, Kathy Radcliff, Sarah (Donald) Riggs, Brenda Leishman and Hester (John) Harvey.  She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Leishman, her son-in-law, Steve Gladwin and her great-granddaughter, Neva Grace Knight.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Angie Mooreland and Shelly Maxwell and all of the staff at Pine Ridge (Stonerise) for the wonderful care that they provided for Freda (Grandma).
