Charles Junior Teter, 89 of Terra Alta, formerly of Newburg, died Thursday, June 18, 2020, at home.
Charles was born on February 2, 1931, in Randolph County, a son of the late Howard and Orpha Smith Teter.
He was a loving dad, grand-dad, great granddad and a great-great grand-dad. Charles served in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star for his heroism during the Korean Conflict. Charles worked for Sterling Faucet as a machine operator for 35 years.
He is survived by his son, Charles D. and wife Virginia L. Teter of Terra Alta, whom he lived with for the last 7 years; his daughter, Elma Braham and husband, David of Reedsville; his granddaughters, Chastity Schmidl and husband, Shawn of Morgantown. Ashley Teter of Kingwood, Melissa Dalton and Shannon Tasker, both of Reedsville; his grandson, Byron Knotts of Reedsville; two great granddaughters, Taylor Hoff Teter of Kingwood and Sierra Dalton of Reedsville; two great grandsons, Jacob Dalton and Devyn Knotts, both of Reedsville and two great- great- grandchildren, Jayda and Hayden Dalton of Reedsville and one sister Marie Schooner of Elkins.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Margaret May Teter in 2016 and an infant daughter and several brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may call at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Monday, June 22, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, with Reverend Delbert Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
