Victor Martin

Victor Guy Martin, 71 of Kingwood died Wednesday, September 18 2019 at home peacefully.

He was born April 18, 1948, in Kingwood, a son of Opal M. Trickett Martin of Kingwood and the late Guy Earl Martin.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.  He served in the US Army for eight years and worked as an electrician for 30 years in the coal mines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and being a hobby farmer. His most joy came from spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Beate Sachwitz Martin, his two daughters, Nichole Irish and husband, Shannon of Cramerton, NC and Angie Mayle and husband Timothy of Fairview, a brother, Stephen Martin and a sister, Deborah Grimes and husband, Raymond, all of Kingwood and six grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Friday September 20, 2019 from 2-6 pm. At Mr. Martin’s request Browning Funeral Home provided cremation services.
