Junior Glenn Hartman, 90, of Kingwood passed away peacefully, on Monday, June 25, 2018, at WV Hospice Caring unit at WVU with family by his side.
Junior was born January 2, 1928, in Delmont, WV, the son of the late Olgia Glenn and Bertha Pearl (Teets ) Hartman.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served in the US Army during Korea war. He worked at Sterling Faucet and later Kohler for 36 years. He was a member of the Kingwood Christian Fellowship Church, the Preston County Cooners Club in Pleasantdale, where he served as president and a was member of the VFW Terra Alta Post 578; enjoyed fishing, hunting, especially Racoon hunting, playing cards and was a good handy man.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Glendene Faye (Gidley) Hartman; two sons, Randy Hartman and wife, Kimberly of Kingwood and Patrick Hartman and wife, Robin of Aurora; seven grandchildren, Buddy Turner and wife, Tina, Jennifer Favro and husband Anthony, Stephine Stiles and husband, Bill, Denise Shaffer and husband, Bobby, Alex Hartman, Patrick Hartman II and wife, Julie and Jami Hartman; eighteen great grandchildren, Cole, Ava, Alana, Nikayla, Talia, Grace, Emma, Tony, Garrett, Blake, Kyra, Alexis, Abigail, Blake, Parker, Solomon, Ryleigh and Kayleigh and Numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Michael Glenn Hartman in 2015, two brothers, Otis Hartman in 1931and William F. Hartman in 2018, two sisters, Blanche Hartman in 1938 and Lucille Crigler in 2007.
Family and friends may call at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood, on Wednesday June 27, from 2pm-8pm and on Thursday June 28, 2018 at the Kingwood Christian Fellowship Church from 10am-11am until the funeral hour with Pastors, Anthony Favro and Dave Biggins officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Preston County Honor Guards and the WVANG Military funeral Honors.
