Jehu Darrell Bolyard, 92, of Terra Alta passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, with family by his side.
He was born November 14, 1925, in Tunnelton, the son of the late Arless and Gertrude Knotts Bolyard.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Jehu was a coal miner and electrician and retired from Island Creek Coal Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, Darrell Bolyard and wife, Debbie of Swanton, MD; his three daughters, Nancy Sturgeon, Marietta Hershman and Wanda Sines and husband, Sonny, all of Terra Alta; his sister, Nona Sheets of Tunnetlon; 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Elsie M. Bolyard in 2009, a daughter, Shirley, a son, Arless, five brothers, Donald, Harvey, Junior, Carrold and Dewey; three sisters, Connie, Delores and Nellie; a grandson, Timothy Fultz, granddaughter, Melisa Fultz, great grandson, Zachary Fultz; two sons in-law, Allen Hershman and George Sturgeon.
Family and friends may call at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Thursday, October 18, from 2-8pm and on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 12 noon till 2pm the funeral hour with Pastor Sonny McNear officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Israel Cemetery in Fellowsville.
