Helen Louise (Shrout) Summers

Helen Louise Summers, 87, of Reedsville, died peacefully Sunday, August 12, 2018 at her home with family by her side.

She was born July 27, 1931 in Kingwood, a daughter of the late Charles and Florence Burch Shrout.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and the glue that held her family together. She was the manager for Kingwood Manor and Plum Hill Terrace, a graduate of Kingwood High and a faithful member of the Glory Bound Tabernacle and a Prayer Warrior for her church.

She is survived by her two daughters, Beverly Miller and husband Leonard of Reedsville and Roxie Sirbaugh of Arthurdale; her son, Arthur Summers, Jr., and companion, Becky White of Grafton; six grandchildren, Brian Poling and wife, Kristy of Masontown, Leslie Showalter and husband, David of Fairmont, Traci Shrout and husband, Andrew of Arthurdale, Amber Summers of FL, Holly Summers Hoxter of Virginia and Jordon Summers of Morgantown; five great grandchildren,  Brandon Poling, Brianna Poling both of Masontown, Aaliya Mefford of Fairmont and Remington and Elyzabell Poling of Mount Morris and one great great grandchild, Braxton Poling of Masontown.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Jewell Summers in 2012, two grandsons, Donald (Tidbit) Sirbaugh and Bradley Poling. She was also the last survivor of her immediate family.

The family will receive friends at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Wednesday, August 15, from 2-4 and 6-8pm, where funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018 with Brother Bud Fawley officiating. Interment will following in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
