Glenn G. Eddy, 80, passed away April 29, 2018 after a brief illness. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by his many friends and family.
Glenn was born in Jakes Run, WV to the late Merle R. and Ochel B. (Chisler) Eddy on May 26, 1937. A graduate of Clay-Battelle High School, he attended WVU and launched his career at Monongahela Power Co spanning many years as he progressed from his starting position as a meter-reader and ending with his retirement as construction supervisor in Elkins after spending many years as district supervisor in Kingwood. In retirement, he employed his craft as master electrician to perform hundreds of electrical inspections for D&D Inspections. His hobbies were numerous, including rebuilding Corvettes, hunting, fishing and pocket watch collection and repair. He was a Methodist by faith and a member of several fraternal/charitable organizations: Preston Lodge #90 (Masonic); Rowlesburg Order of Eastern Star, and Kingwood Kiwanis.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nina (Toni) Dean Eddy of Kingwood; and his brother, Darrell Eddy and wife Almeada of Bridgeport; sister-in-law, Nancy Eddy of Rhode Island; daughter Terri Lea (Eddy) Malcolm and husband Fred of New Hampshire; step-sons Mike Bolyard and wife, Glenna of Middleway, Paul Bolyard and wife Laura of Florida; and Dean Bolyard and wife Kim of Kingwood.
Grandchildren include: Timothy Malcolm and wife Kirsten; Eric Malcolm and wife Megan; Danielle Bolyard; Jedidiah Bolyard and wife Kaileen; Jeremiah Bolyard, Dillon Bolyard, Emma Bolyard; and Wyatt Bolyard.
Great-grandchildren are Julian, Trevor and Harper Malcolm; Evelyn Bolyard; Scarlett Bolyard; Bella and Kalli Land.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Larry.
A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood at 1:00 p.m. on May 5, preceded by calling hours at 11 a.m. A Masonic interment will follow at the Etam Cemetery in Etam, WV.
