Carold Richard Bolyard, age 83, formerly of Tunnelton, WV, died on Monday, August 06, 2007 in Terra Alta, WV, at the residence in which he resided with his brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Elsie Bolyard who were also his caregivers. Carold was born September 18, 1923, in Tunnelton, a son to the late Arless and Gertrude (Knotts) Bolyard. Carold was a coal miner, a past member of the Tunnelton Lions Club and a past President of the Tunnelton Volunteer Fire Department. He was a charter member of the Tunnelton Ambulance Service. He was a Methodist by faith. He was survived by one daughter and spouse, Peggy and John Griswold of Ayer, MA; one son, Carold "Butch" Bolyard of Tunnelton; two brothers, Darrell "Jehu" Bolyard of Terra Alta, and Junior Bolyard of Tunnelton; two sisters, Delores Phillips of Kingwood and Nona Sheets of Tunnelton; three grandchildren, Denise Good of Tunnelton, Michelle Wilson of Kingwood, Kelley Miller of Bruceton Mills; three step-grandchildren, Gary Zeigler of Newburg, Dennis Zeigler of Tunnelton, John Zeigler of Arthurdale; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas Good, Jacob Good, both of Tunnelton, Jesse Wilson, Douglas Wilson, both of Kingwood and Brandy Miller of Bruceton. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Messenger) Bolyard; one step-son, James W. Bernard; three brothers, Donald Bolyard, Harvey Bolyard and one infant; two sisters, Connie Conn and one infant. Friends may call the Rotruck-Lobb Funeral Home-Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, on Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and on Friday, August 10, 2007 from 10-11am. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 10, 2007, at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Uphold officiating. Interment will follow at the Camp Ground Cemetery.
