Betty Lou Whetsell

Betty Lou Whetsell, 89 of Kingwood, died, July 26, 2019 at home with loving family by her side.

Betty was born May 18, 1930, in Kingwood, a daughter, of the late Dennis and Byrdie Slicott Whetsell.

She retired as an account receivable clerk at WVU. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church where she served as the secretary, treasurer and youth director.

Betty is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She is the last survivor of her immediate family and was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters and a special friend Marshall Harned.

The family would like to Thank the WV Caring Hospice Staff; and also family members who were her care givers.  Special thanks to Leona Sanders for her care of Betty.
