Anna Jean Brown, 85, died Thursday, October 31, 2019 in Greenwood, SC with loving family by her side.
She was born March 1, 1934, in Cedarville, a daughter of the late Ernest Lyle and Gladys Whisman Isenhart.
She was a loving mother, sister and Nan-Nan. She was a Baptist by faith, a graduate of Glenville State College and a classroom teacher for the Braxton County Board of Education.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Brown and Vicki Mentzer and husband, Rev. Dr. Steven, all of Greenwood and Glenda Brown and companion, Kevin Madden of Elkins; her sister, Marty Bunn of Glenville; her granddaughter, Stefani Mentzer of Greenwood and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harlan D. (Dick) Brown and eight siblings, Jackie, Thomas, Ernest (Tink), Roger, Becky, Sharon and Janet Isenhart and Carol Harrington.
The family will receive friends at the Gassaway Baptist Church, 56 Beall Drive, Gassaway on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 10 am to 12 noon. Mrs. Brown’s funeral service will begin at 12 noon with Reverend Dr. Steven Mentzer officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery in Frametown.
