Anita Joy Bolyard

Anita Joy Hollis Bolyard, 58 of Kingwood went to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on February 27, 2018.

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and a cherished member of her family. Anita was a creative soul who found much joy in, music, art, crafting, photography, and playing the piano. She was loved by all who knew her and she loved everyone she knew. She was a country girl who enjoyed nature and walks on the family farm.

Anita dedicated her life to helping people, loving Jesus and the Christian Faith. She was a Sunday school teacher and pianist at several churches in Terra Alta including; Hillcrest Chapel, First Methodist, and the Freeland Church.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Bill; her daughters, Amanda Bolyard and companion, Jason Johnson of Drummond Island, MI and Sheena Bolyard Haller and husband, Roger of Monroe, OH; her sisters, Martha Hollis of Kingwood and Jeanette Hollis Lantz and husband, Jim of Terra Alta; her nephew, Kyle Lantz and Katie and great nephew, Henry Lantz, all of Fargo, ND; her niece, Annika Lantz of Monroe, OH; Tim Reed of Indiana, PA and her brother-in-law, Charles Bolyard, Jr. and wife, Sandy of Manassas, VA.

She was a caring daughter and sister to those who preceded her in death, her parents, J.C. and Raymona Ford Hollis; her sister, Roberta Hollis and her brother, Butch Hollis.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 2 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood where funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Saturday, March 3, 2018 with Pastor Eric Beeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Terra Alta Cemetery.

Anita had an intense love for helping animals, therefore the family ask for donations to be made in her honor to the Spay/Neuter Assistance Program of the Preston County Humane Society at P.O. Box 395 Kingwood, WV 26537.
